We were very excited about this pony’s arrival long before he hit the ground, and we sure weren’t disappointed when he did!  Cass oozes presence, as he breeding dictates, and we feel he would make a much needed addition to the availability of quality sport pony stallions in the Maritimes.  Cass is registered with the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of Canada (Half-Welsh), and American Sportpony Registry.  At his inspection in Windsor, NS, he received a First Premium score of 7.8!

He is also qualified for the Sportpony Star Search Challenge Cup at the Royal Winter Fair, and was Overall & ASPR Champion at the Qualifier Show!

By *Stockham Commander M (13.1 H Chestnut Imported Welsh), standing at Morton Stables, Sharon, ON.  Commander is an approved American Sportpony stallion, receiving the ultimate score of First Premium Premier.  He is a USEF leading sire of Hunter Breeding Ponies (#1 in 2004!).  He is a Champion on the line winning classes in Great Britain, the US & Canada (including Royal Winter Fair Grand Champion B 2006), as well as a producer of many champions in Canada & the US.  His sire (Rotherwood Secret Agent) comes from the famous Rotherwood Stud in Leicestershire, England (now standing in Australia).  He is out of Horsegate Sapphire, a two time WPCS medal winner and multiple champion in Great Britain.  Commander’s offspring are very sought after with a grandson (by Morton’s Star Command) recently exported to Australia as a breeding stallion.

Out of Introspecht (14.3 H Bay Canadian Warmblood), by Buntspecht de Lauzelle, 17.1 H Bay Approved Belgian Warmblood.  Buntspecht had the highest all time scores at his 1984 stallion test in Belgium.  A competitor himself in the Open Jumper Division in Canada including shows at Spruce Meadows and The Royal Winter Fair, he was also the sire of many jumpers across Canada.  Among his career highlights was clearing a 7” puissance wall at The Royal Winter Fair in Toronto!
