In 2007, Lorelei is booked to Concorde (16.3 H bay KWPN-Keur-Preferent), standing at Team Nijhof, Netherlands. Concorde was himself an international show jumper with Jos Lansink, now proving himself as a sire. In the last 3 years, he had the most offspring at the World Breeding Championships for young horses. He was the youngest stallion to be awarded Preferent, and was elected Horse of the Year in 2004. Bred in Ontario from imported parents, Lorelei is a large framed mare with beautiful daisy-cutter trot. She was the top scoring foal at her foal inspection in Ontario with an average score of 7, and also received an overall 7 at her mare inspection. By Laskan, brown Hanoverian Verband stallion, 100 day tested in Germany. By Lugano, sire of 30 approved sons & 70 States Premium mares, one of Der Loewe’s most significant sons producing rideable dressage horses and international showjumpers. Out of Dark-Beauty by Donnerwetter, an international Grand Prix dressage horse and sire. Donnerwetter’s most famous son was Donnerhall, the most successful dressage horse and sire in the World. Donnerhall’s own accomplishments as a Grand Prix Dressage horse include twice earning Gold at the World Equestrian Games! 2nd dam Warga by Wohlklang, one of 3 early sons of Wöhler which went on to become sires of competition horses in dressage and show jumping, founding the W-line.
